Week 8

As I refined my illustrations, I thought about balance—between light and shadow, simplicity and detail. The landscape scenes grew richer, the castle’s guardian more defined. Salvador Dalí’s surrealism guided me in adding elements of the uncanny, while Oxenbury’s restraint kept me grounded.

This week, the characters’ emotional journeys began to mirror my own. Like Otto, I learned to embrace imperfection. Like Emma, I found courage in vulnerability. The story felt like a reflection of my artistic growth.
